Depending on your skills, you may qualify for a Student Loan Forgiveness program. I know for a fact that nurses or teachers who work in certain underserved areas can get up to 80% of their loans wiped out. I don't know your skills set, but i suggest you Google "student loan forgiveness" and go from there. Good luck!

Hi, my name is Lily. I'm writing to ask for any assistance you can provide....you see I have over $82,000 in student loan debt and I'm currently sending in a monthly payment of $300 but I realize that it's not even making a dent in paying off the debt. The student loan company is threatening to garnish my wages if they don't collect more than my $300 but I am unable to send more than that because I have a 7-month-old baby to care for, other bills to pay, and my employer is on a budget freeze and will not be giving me a raise anytime in the near future. If my wages are garnished then I don't know what I'll do to survive but my biggest concern is for my baby.
